I have good news! The Senate is standing strong in its effort to allocate significant funding for Florida's premier land conservation program, Florida Forever. They've upped their initial offer, and are now proposing to allocate $200 million to Florida Forever! Unfortunately, the House is still proposing much less.
Please call House Appropriations Chairman Carlos Trujillo at (850) 717 - 5105 and let him know how important land conservation is to you! Urge him to agree to the Senate's proposed allocation for Florida Forever! Please leave a message if necessary.
This allocation would be a positive step forward in our efforts to address the State's backlog of Florida Forever projects. Many of Florida's important natural and working lands are being threatened with development as we speak. The time to act is NOW.
